2outube
Free · No account · Straight from the video’s captions

Turn a YouTube video into text.

Paste the video’s link and 2outube converts it into readable text — the full spoken content, laid out as a transcript you can read, search, and copy.

Full transcript in seconds — searchable, timestamped, yours to keep.

The text comes from the captions already attached to the video on YouTube, either written by the creator or generated automatically. 2outube doesn’t run its own speech-to-text — it fetches and cleans up the caption track that already exists.

That means the text is only as accurate as YouTube’s own captions. Well-captioned videos convert cleanly; auto-generated captions on noisy or fast-talking videos carry the same rough edges they have on YouTube itself.

Once it’s text, read it directly on the page, copy it, or download it as .txt, .md, .srt, or .json.

Questions, answered.

Does 2outube use its own AI to transcribe the audio?

No. It reads the captions YouTube already has for that video — auto-generated or creator-uploaded. We don’t run our own speech recognition, so accuracy is whatever YouTube’s own captions already have.

What if a video has no captions at all?

Then there’s no text for us to fetch — 2outube can’t generate a transcript from a video that has no captions on YouTube.

Is it free?

Yes — no account, no paid tier, no limits for normal reading.

Can I get the text as a file, not just on-screen?

Yes — download it as .txt, .md, .srt, or .json from the transcript page, all free.

Does it work on non-English videos?

Yes — whatever language the video’s captions are in is the language you get back.
