0:40shout out to all the new subscribers we've been getting. And everybody that's been riding with me for years and years. Also, get down there in the comments, ask me any questions you want to about anything across the sports world. I'm more than happy to get back to you. And if I don't have the answer to your question, I can reach out to the premium handicappers over there at stumpthepread.com and see what they have to say. Also guys, make sure you're checking the pin comment.
1:02That's the top comment below that video. In that pin comment, you'll find my favorite picks from every video. You'll also find a link to stumpthespread.com so you can check out all their great free stuff. You can check out their free picks, their premium pics. You can get on their email newsletter. Premium picks look like they're going to be coming off their second straight winning day. So, very good news there. Also cashing their biggest play of the day. Definitely helpful stuff. cashing in big time on some NFL preseason play. So, definitely get over there and check out the pre-impics and get on that email newsletter. And guys, in terms of our
1:28results for what we had go down over here on the uh Thursday slate for us, it was a short slate, but that's really not a great excuse for how brutal of a day. We got completely wrecked. We come up short on the Guardians at minus 120. Mezzic was good, but Keer Montero maybe had his best start of the year, and the Guardians get shut out three to nothing.
1:45We also break out on the Yankees. They get shut out as well, losing one to nothing. Their offense continuing to struggle. We're on the wrong side on the Twins. Uh more like Field of Nightmares there for the Twins instead of Field of Dreams. Taj Bradley gets shelled. Aaron Nola managed to give up only a single run over five innings. So, a tough look there for the Twins. Uh we also run the wrong side there on the Marlins. That's one where the premium picks would have paid off for you big time. Uh he was on Ashcraft big time and he put up a great start, maybe the best start of his
2:09career. A complete game, one run performance. Very, very, very good stuff. Uh yeah, I mean, pretty brutal stuff for the Cubs as well. that Gaussman trade looking a little bit shaky. He gets shelled and we see Kate Gavali go nuts. So yeah, I mean I don't know. It's just a brutal day across the board. We're not going to dwell on it for too long. There's nothing we can do about it now. Time to get back to work.
2:29Time to find some better plays. I will say the premium members definitely getting a lot better time over there. So at least something positive coming from today, but nothing positive coming from me. So if you want to write anything mean down there in the comments, I definitely and I definitely definitely deserve it. We're going to try and bounce back here though. We got a full slate on Friday, so that should definitely help. We'll break down everything that went down on the premium side as well. But under the assumption that the Dodgers hold on to their two-run lead and that we don't see any more. Oh, wait. That game is finished
2:55and we do see the under come through in that Tennessee Tennessee San Francisco 49er game. So, that is a win. Looking like a winning day there for the premember. So, thank God for that. Do me a big favor, hit that thumbs up button, subscribe to the channel, get down there in the comments. Doing that stuff really helps me out. And let's dive into game one of our MLB slate here on Friday. We got the St. Louis Cardinals heading to Chicago to take on the Cubs. The Cardinals come into this game fresh off winning two out of three against the Phillies. They are now one game above
3:20500, so still alive in that National League wild card hunt. They will start Matthew Litori in this game. He's 5-9 on the year, a 5.15 ERA. He got shelled by the Rockies last amount. That was not in Colorado. That was a home start. So, we'll see if he can bounce back a little bit. Uh before that, he threw six innings of one hit ball in a 5-1 win against Toronto. So, excellent work there. The last time we saw him face the Cubs, though, he went into Wrigley and gave up eight hits over three and two/3s innings in a seven-3 loss for St. Louis.
3:45So, not great history in this matchup. The Cardinals bullpen has not been great this year. Maybe not a complete disaster, but definitely not very good. And the offense, while they did put up seven runs in game three of this series, has not been great uh down the stretch of the season. They got off to a very hot start in the first 50, 60, 70 games, something like that. But things have cooled down aggressively. Uh they're down to 20th in batting average, 19th in runs scored, 26th in slugging percentage. We'll see. We'll see what they're able to do here on the road against the Chicago Cubs, who are
4:12currently 71 and 51 on the year. They're only three and a half games back of the Brewers in the NL Central. So, that race is heating up big time. They're trying to bounce back from a tough game three loss there in Washington. They'll start Klay Holmes in this game. This 33-year-old righty is four and five on the year, a 2.86 RA. He did not have a very good time in Kansas City in his first start there in a Cubs uniform.
4:33We'll see what he's able to do here. Uh, you know, pitching at home. Well, I don't know how much at home he feels, but he is going up against the Cardinal team that he dominated in his first start this year. So, we'll see if he can replicate any of that. The Cubs bullpen has been good this season. A 3.88 bullpen erra certainly not the end of the world there. And the offense obviously getting shut out there in game three. Had been on fire recently. Uh obviously you know Pete Crow Armstrong having a great year at the plate. The second highest scoring team in the majors. They're actually first and on
5:00base percentage. So plenty to like about the Cubs offensively. Looking at the numbers here, the oddsmakers love the Cubs in this spot. The Cardinals are plus 155. The Cubs are minus 180. A total of eight in this game. St. Louis is 29 and 26 on the road. 30 21 and four to the under on the road. The Cubs are 36 and 27 at home. 31 and 28 to the over at home. This spot does not really get me going too much. I don't trust Klay Holmes enough to take the Cubs and I think the Cubs are the much better team.
5:26So, it's a little bit rough to back the Cardinals even at plus 155. That is going to be my tiny tiny lean to lean towards the over though. I think over eight is the play we like the most in this game. I think it is actually a very very valuable look. I think we'll see plenty of action here in this day game.
5:41I'm not expecting miracles from Klay Holmes or from Liberatory, especially against a team that shelled them earlier this year. So, yeah, over eight seems very much in play, especially for a Cubs offense that uh you know, really didn't get anything going there on Thursday. Next up, we got the Miami Marlins heading to Cincinnati to take on the Reds. The Marlins are 62 and 60 on the year. They let us down big time there in game three that series against the Pirates, but the premium handicapper was all over that one, backing Ashcraft. So, well played by him. The the Marlins will start Sandy Alcantara in this game. He's
6:0913-6 on the season. a 3.52 erra. Bro has not given up an earned run in any of his last three starts, dominating the Angels, Mets, and Phillies over that span. So, incredibly good work there. We'll see what he can do against a pretty light-hitting Cincinnati Reds team that he did dominate back in uh the first month of the season. So, we'll see if he can run it back, do anything similar, and just keep this incredible streak alive. The bullpen for Miami has also been pretty decent this year. Not great, but a 3.96 bullpen RA is certainly not a disaster. The offense did get completely shut down there in
6:40game three of their series against the Pirates, but they could be in for a quick bounceback because they are seventh in the majors in batting average and seventh in on base percentage. They had scored 82 and 12 over their three games before that terrible outing. So, we'll see what they do here in Cincinnati taking on a Red's team that is 58 and 62 on the year. They've kind of turned things around a bit, but still plenty of work to do. They will start Chase Burns in this game. This 23-year-old righty is 13-2 on the year, a 2.61 61 erra, but he's coming off a really bad start against the Nationals.
7:07Uh did not have a good time giving up six hits and five earned runs over five innings of work. He also struggled against Cleveland recently, so not a great look there. He did have a good start against the Pirates. We'll see what he can do against the Marlins. Obviously, that's the opponent we care about the most right now. He has not faced Miami yet this season, so no head-to-head data. If he does struggle, that's really bad news because the Red's bullpen is atrocious. One of the worst five or six bullpens in the major leagues. The offense, while they did put up nine runs in the last game of their
7:34series there in Chicago, taking on the White Sox, that's great. That has definitely not been the norm. They are currently 27th in the majors and runs scored in last and team batting average. Obviously, Hunter Green is slated to have Tommy John surgery. Going to probably miss 2027. That is some really, really rough news. So, we'll see what they can do here at home. The Marlins are - 105 in this game. The Reds are minus 115. A total of eight. Miami is 24 and 35 on the road. 32 23 and four to the over on the road. The Reds are 29 and 31 at home. 312 28 and one to the
8:03over at home. With both team showing trends towards the over, I totally get it. And with neither bullpen lighting the world on fire at the moment, the over could make sense. But you could take the over and over run first inning in this game. And I would not have a single problem with that. Uh if you're looking for a side, I will definitely take the Marlins in this one with Sandy Alcantar on the mound. Right now, I trust him a lot more than I trust Chase Burns. Next up, we've got the Boston Red Sox heading to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates. Payton Tol just continues to
8:27absolutely kill it, putting up eight innings for the Red Sox to snap their losing streak and to get them the seven to nothing win in game four of their series against Toronto. The Red Sox are going to start try and start a new winning streak here as they hand the ball to Jake Bennett. He's seven and five this season, a 3.17 erra for this 25-year-old lefty. He's fresh off five and a third innings, five hits, and four earned runs allowed against the Athletics in a 7 to3 loss. And to be honest, over his last four outings, he has not looked the sharpest. Hasn't been a disaster, but has not been amazing.
8:54Now, if he does struggle and they have to turn to their bullpen, the Red Sox do have the best bullpen in the major league. So, that is definitely something that's very nice to fall back on. But the offense, I know they're coming off a seven-run game, that's great. They've scored seven, four, three, two, three, three, and 13 over their last few. So, we'll see if they can get it back on track. See if they can get another winning streak going here as they head to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates who just rode that incredible Ashcraft start to a 13 to1 win in game three against
9:18the Marlins. The Pirates will start Bubba Chandler in game one of this series. He's 5-8 on the season, a 4.26 26 RA for this 23-year-old. He's coming off six innings, three hits, and no runs allowed against the Mets in a nine to nothing shut out win. Before that, okay against Milwaukee, before that, bad against Arizona. Before that, excellent against the Yankees. We'll see which version of him we get here against the Boston Red Sox. Obviously, a team he hasn't faced yet this year, so we'll see. Uh, could be okay, but I do have some reservations about Bub Chandler in this specific spot. The Pirates bullpen
9:47is also a complete disaster. A 4.21 21 bullpull pen erra. Honestly, I think they're worse than that number would indicate. That number indicates pretty freaking bad. The offense though, while it was in quite the slump going into the last game there against the Marlins, put up 13 runs, they are the fourth highest scoring team in the majors and the fourth highest on base percentage team in the major league. So maybe this squad really going to turn it on here at the plate down the stretch. We'll see. Uh looking at the numbers, guys, the Red Sox are minus 140. The Pirates are plus 115, a total of eight in this game.
10:15Boston is 36 and 25 on the road. 312 29 and one to the under on the road. The Pirates are 29 and 34 at home. 39 20 and one to the over at home. You could definitely talk me into over eight in this game. I'm not expecting amazing stuff from Jake Bennett or Bubba Chandler. Now the Red Sox amazing bullpen does make me worry a little bit about that play, but I do think the over is certainly live. If you're looking for a side on this game, I will take the Red Sox, but it's going to be the smallest of leans, guys. This game not going to
10:41see a lot of action there in the pinned comment. Hey guys, before we break down the rest of this deep MLB slate here on Friday, we get a shout out the sponsor today in everyday's video and that is stumpthepread.com. Make sure you click the link in the description or in the pin comment to go over there and see the top confidence picks from our entire team experienced handicappers. Right now, guys, premium members at stumpthespread.com are getting daily MLB, NFL preseason, and UFC picks. It's been an insane UFC run over the last uh several cards. You'll see up on screen how many units those UFC picks have made at least over the
11:09last three cards. Maybe it's the last four at this point, but I think it's like six cards in a row have been winning or something absolutely bonkers. So, the UFC handicapper over there, who is definitely not me, I know zero about the fighting sports, has been on literal fire. And we've seen MLB put up some pretty decent stuff here recently. Today is looking like the second straight winning day, cashing a bunch of plays over there on the NFL preseason side. A very good look there on the Tennessee San Francisco under 40. the Texans uh you know play on both those Texans plays not ringing out wasn't great but the
11:38Cardinals plus three and a half was a big three-unit play easily putting us over the top here for a profitable day. Um breaking out on the Guardians and the under there on that Cincinnati Chicago White Sox game but catching the Lions plus seven and a half is a one unit play. The Dodgers is one unit play and the Pirates is a one unit to play. All very very good work to bring our premium members a nice little winning day there on backtoback night. So get in the mix and sign up for a premium membership if you're interested in that guys. Keep in mind, those picks, like I've already
12:05said, do not come from me. They come from the premium handicappers over there. 14:12channel members, guys. Really appreciate every single one of you. You help keep the lights on here in a very special way. But everybody that watch these videos likes comments subscribes does all that YouTube stuff makes a huge difference around here. So, massive shout out to every single one of you and everybody that sticks with me through these losing days. They're avoidable.
14:27They're going to happen from time to time. Sometimes there's bad luck involved. Sometimes I just made a bad pick, but we just keep on grinding. So, let's get after it, guys. Next up, we got the Chicago White Sox heading to Detroit to take on the Tigers. The White Sox come into this game 62 and 58 on the year. They've got a two and a halfame lead over the Tigers in the AL Central.
14:45So, this is a very important series. They just lost two out of three against the Reds. They're going to start Shawn Nukem in this game. Now, this 33-year-old lefties sporting a 2.66 RA. He is a bullpen guy. So, we are staring down the barrel of a full bullpen start there from the White Sox, which certainly not the end of the world for this team. A 3.86 bullpen RA has been very impressive to me this year. So, a good bullpen for sure. The last time we saw Newcom go up against the Tigers was back on June 20th and he pitched three scoreless innings, albeit in a 4 to1
15:14loss. The White Socks uh offense this year has been very good in general. They're ninth in run scored. They are 11th in slugging percentage. They've gotten a lot of their power back as they've gotten healthy and things are looking okay. They've scored eight, five, four, five, and six over their last few games. So, we'll see what they can do on the road against the Detroit Tigers who have won four out of their last five games. being big sellers at the trade deadline has not bothered them one bit. They are now in second place in the AL Central and they will start young Jackson Job in this game. He came back
15:43this season from uh you know obviously from Tommy John surgery and oh my I'm pretty sure it was Tommy John surgery. Yeah. Yeah. And it has been absolutely insane. Uh he went five scoreless innings, gave up one hit, struck out four and walked one in an eight to nothing win against the Giants. Doesn't get a whole lot better than that. So we'll see if he can replicate that against the White Socks. Obviously, the Tigers bullpen has been very good this year. A bit better than the White Sox even. And the offense, well, it's been a lot better down the stretch. I'll say that. They're 12th in run scored.
16:13They're 10th in sling percentage. Also 10th and on base percentage, getting on base at a 320 clip. They scored 346 38 2 and 11 over their last few games. Not terrible. I think this is actually a pretty legitimate offense. So, looking at the numbers for this game, the White Socks are plus 130. The Tigers are - 155, a total of 8 and a half. The White Socks are 25 and 34 on the road. 34 24 and 1 to the over on the road. The Tigers are 28 and 33 at home. 33 24 and 3 to the under at home. The side in this one doesn't really make much sense to
16:44me. I will lean slightly towards the Tigers. I think they'd probably win this game, but the price tag is too expensive. I really like under eight and a half in this one, though. The White Socks bullpen, I have plenty of respect for them. Obviously, Jackson threw the ball amazing in his season opener. Will he do that in game two of his season? I think there's a very likely chance. the way he's thrown the ball and the odds makers are telling us that'll be the case as well. So yeah, give me under eight and a half in this one. I think it's a very good spot. Rapid fire
17:08through these games, we got the Baltimore Orioles heading to Tampa Bay to take on the Rays. The Orioles are 58 and 63 on the year. They've had a bit of a rough time. They just lost two out of three against the Twins after losing two out of three against the Rangers. They will turn turn to Kyle Brandish in this game. This 29-year-old righty is seven and 11 on the year, a 3.69 ERA. He's coming off six innings, five hits, and two runs allowed against the Rangers.
17:29Before that, he got obliterated by the Phillies. Before that, got shelled by the Tigers. So, definitely had a bit of a bounce back there in Texas. We'll see what he can do on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays. Not the easiest place to pitch this year, although he put a pretty good start together against them back on May 19th and had backto-back good outings against them on the 19th and 25th, respectively. So, maybe he can do that again. We'll see. Uh, the Baltimore Bullpen, a 4.15 bullpen RA is definitely a bit below average. And the offense, while they have put up some runs here recently, it just hasn't been
17:56enough. scoring what 55 510 1 one and one over their last few games. So they're 15th in run scored but 24th in batting average and 20th in slugging percentage. This is not as good of an offense as I was anticipating seeing there in Baltimore. So let's take a look at what they're doing again. They'll do here against the Rays. Uh Tampa Bay has won nine in a row. They have a 6 and a half game lead over the Yankees for the top spot in the AL East. Very very impressive stuff. They're going to start Steven Mads in this game. He's 5-4 on the year. A 5.46 46 RA for this
18:2535-year-old lefty. Uh he's been moved to the bullpen for a bit now and his last five bullpen appearances have been as good as you can possibly ask him to be. He's given up one hit over that span in zero runs allowed. So, excellent work. Uh we'll see if he can hold down the fort here against the Orioles. He pitched against them twice back in May, late May. And one was one outing was very good, one outing was very bad. So, tough to tell which way it's going to go this time around. Uh the bullpen situation in general for Tampa Bay has been okay lately. Definitely not a great
18:53bullpen, but the offense has been on fire. They've scored 8, 12, and 10 over their last three games. They are currently 12th in runs scored, second in batting average, fifth in on base percentage. This is a team that can definitely hit it. So look at the numbers, guys. These are some fairly early reported numbers. The Orioles are plus around 150. The Rays are around minus 160, a unknown total in this game.
19:13Baltimore's 26 and 33 on the road. 32 26 and1 to the over on the road. The Rays are 33 and 28 at home. 31 24-4 to the under at home. This one is mostly going to be a stayaway spot for me. I will lean slightly towards the Orioles. Theoretically here on the road as nice little underdogs, but this one guys is not going anywhere near the pin comment.
19:31Next up, we got the San Diego Padres's heading to Cleveland to take on the Guardians. The Padres's are 65 and 57 on the year. They've won five games in a row, including sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers. They will start Michael King in this game. He's 7-8 this season, a 3.37 RA. He's coming off six innings, three hits, and one run allowed against the Astros in a 3 to2 win. Uh he's looked very good over his last five starts. I guess a bit of a hiccup there against Colorado, but I'll cut you a little bit of slack for that one. In general, he's thrown the ball really, really well in
19:58terms of history against Cleveland this year. He doesn't have any, so we'll see what he looks like in this head-to-head matchup. The Padres's bullpen has been excellent all year. A fi 3.58 bullpen erra currently looks very good. And the offense is even coming alive a little bit, scoring 411 37 and three. Over the course of this winning streak, we're seeing uh Fernando Tatis Jr. at least hit the ball a little bit better. They are 21st in runs scored and 21st on base percentage. So definitely not an elite level offense. They're taking on the Guardians who at 59 and 63 on the year have lost four out of their last five to
20:28fall four games back in the AL Central. They will start Gavin Williams in this game. And this 27year-old right has been excellent this year. He's 11 and six this season, a 3.55 ERA. He's given up 2020 two and five earned runs over his last five starts. So some very very respectable work. In terms of history against the Guardians this season, he hasn't faced them at all. So, it's going to be a new head-to-head matchup for him this year. In terms of his history against the Padres's, oh my god, I'm a little bit tired, guys. A little bit tired. In terms of his history against the Padres's, you know, the team he's
20:58actually pitching against this season, he has not faced the Padres's yet this season. So, we'll see what Gavin Williams looks like. I'm expecting him to be pretty good. I'm expecting the Cleveland bullpen to continue to be okay. Although, some bumps in the road here recently have shaken my faith in them a bit. The offense also is very shaky. They're 28th in runs scored and last in the majors in slugging percentage. So looking at the numbers for this game, the Padres's are plus 110. The Guardians are -130, a total of 72 1/2. The Padres's are 27 and 30 on the road. 30 and 27 to the under on the
21:26road. The Guardians are 31 and 32 at home. 31 and 28 to the over at home. 7 and 12 is not a big number, but I do think the under is the way I'll lean. And when I'm leaning towards the under, the underdog makes a lot of sense as well. Guys, give me the Potters here at plus 110. I think they have a very realistic chance here on the road against the Cleveland Guardians. Rapid fire through these games. We got the Washington Nationals heading to New York to take on the Mets. The Nationals get the seven to nothing win behind an behind an insane Cavali start there in
21:53game three of that series against the Cubs. And in game one here against the Mets, they're going to start Andrew Alvarez. This 27year-old lefties two and three on the year. A 3.76 erra. He hasn't given it more than two earned runs over either of his last three any of his last three starts facing the Reds, Phillies, and Blue Jays. So maybe not a murderous row of opponents there, but some pretty decent work. We'll see what we can do on the road against the Mets, a team he faced back in late May and went four innings, gave up two hits and two earned runs. The Nationals
22:20bullpen is the worst, one of the worst four bullpens in the major leagues. So, that has definitely held this team back a bit, but the offense for the majority of the season has been good enough to make up for it. They are actually the highest scoring team in the major leagues this year. They're also first in slugging percentage. We've seen guys like CJ Abrams, James Wood, and many others really kill it at the plate this season for the Nationals. Now, they're taking on the Mets, who have been maybe the biggest disappointment in the majors this year. They're 53 and 69 overall.
22:44They will start Robert Stock in this game. This 36-y old Brady is sporting a 10.13 erra. Uh he had a good start against Miami, a terrible start against the Pirates. Those are the only two outings he has this season. So, we'll see how he fares against a team as good at looking as the uh you know, Washington Nationals, especially at the plate. So, could be a rough spot here for Robert Stock. Could even be a rough spot for that Mets bullpen, which has been pretty good this year. The problem is the team can't score any runs. They scored 30 and8 in their series in Atlanta. Over the course of the year,
23:13they are 28th in on base percentage, 25th in batting average, and 22nd in runs scored. So, look at the numbers for this game. The Nationals are plus 105. The Mets are -25, a total of 8 and a half. Washington is 33 and 27 on the road. 30 27 and three to the over on the road. The Mets are 28 and 35 at home.
23:3028-25 and six to the over at home. I'll be honest, guys, there are two plays that I like from this game. And I do think taking a flyer on the nationals here at plus money makes some sense, but better than that, give me over eight and a half. I expect plenty of offense in this game. I don't think that's going to be a problem at all. I don't expect Alvarez or stock to really shut down their opponent. And neither bullpen.
23:50Well, especially not the Nationals bullpen looks great. So yeah, over eight and a eight and a half seems very very good. Next up, we got the Arizona Diamondbacks heading to Atlanta to take on the Braves. The Diamondbacks are 64 and 58 on the year. They just lost two out of three against the Rockies, so not a great look there. In need of a bounceback, they're going to hand the ball to Brandon F. He's sporting a 3.36 ERA. He's fresh off seven innings, two hits, and zero runs allowed against the Dodgers, albeit in a 2 to1 extra inning loss. So, that's pretty brutal. But, in general, he has thrown the ball
24:17absolutely amazingly well here down the stretch. We'll see what he can do against the uh, you know, Atlanta Braves, a team he struggled against in the first month of the season, but that's so long ago, I'm not really too worried about it. I'm expecting decent stuff here from Brandon F. I'm expecting mediocre stuff as always from that Arizona bullpen. been pretty bad this year. A 4.09 bullpen erra, well, not necessarily the end of the world, is certainly not very good. Offensively, Arizona struggled a bit at the end of that series against the Rockies. So, not awesome, but did hit the ball relatively well in game one, I guess. But overall,
24:48they're 11th in run, scored, 19th in slowing percentage and 18th in batting average. So, we'll see if they can take care of business on the road against the Braves, who just won two out of three against the Mets and have a nine-game lead in the NL East. They'll start Chris Sale in this one. This 37-year-old lefty is 12-7 on the season, a 2.20 erra. He's coming off six innings, five hits, and three earned runs allowed in Yankee Stadium in a game we'd eventually see the Braves lose 5 to4. Over his last five starts, he's looked very, very good, and I have a hard time expecting
25:16to see anything different from him. Uh, in terms of history this year against Arizona, this will actually be his first start facing the Diamondbacks this year. So, looking at the numbers for the uh bullpen for the Atlanta Braves, guys, it's not terrible. uh one of the best three or four bullpens in the major leagues. And the offense has also been good. Uh maybe not crushing the ball at the moment, but they are the sixth highest scoring team in the majors and fifth in slugging percentage. So look at the numbers for this game. The Diamondbacks are pretty big underdogs.
25:41The Braves are nearly 2 to1 favorites. A total of 7 and a half. Arizona's 28 and 31 on the road. 3225 and two to the under on the road. The Braves are 32 and 27 at home. 31-27 and four to the under at home. This is a tough one. This is for sure a tough one. I think no one first inning is live in this game. I think under seven and a half is live in this game as well. Two elite level pitchers out there on the mound right now. In terms of aside, I will lean slightly towards the Braves here at home, but this is way too expensive of a
26:09price tag for me to want to put it in the pinned comment. Next up, we're looking at the New York Yankees heading to Toronto to take on the Blue Jays. The Yankees are 68 and 53 on the year. They lose the last game of that series against the Mariners one to nothing. So, pretty brutal stuff. They are currently six and a half games back in the AL East and they will start Garrett Jared Cole in this game. He's six and five on the year, a 3.35 erra. He's fresh off seven innings, six hits, and two runs allowed there against the Atlanta Braves. So, he has put together some very, very good
26:35starts. Obviously, has not had the uh longest season necessarily, but he's looked pretty good. We'll see what he can do against the Blue Jays in his first action against them this year, but I'm expecting Cole to be very solid. I'm expecting the Yankees bullpen to also be excellent. It's one of the best couple bullpens in the majors. The problem is this team not exactly amazing at the plate, per se. I mean, they're down to 14th in runs scored, 28th in batting average. It is fair that they would suddenly suck at the plate for sure because they don't have any of their best hitters anymore. So, we'll see if
27:04they can uh do anything positive in Toronto taking on the Blue Jays who just won three out of four against the Red Sox. But at 59 and 64 on the year, they have some work to do. They will start Shane Bieber in this game. Uh he's 31 years old. He's a righty and he is 3 and2 this season, a 5.48 ERA. got knocked around pretty aggressively in Philadelphia his last time out, but before that had been throwing the ball well-ish, I guess he had to pitch out of a lot of trouble there in Houston before that. In terms of a head-to-head history this season against the New York
27:28Yankees, he has not faced them, but he's had a pretty short season. So, we'll have to take a look and see what he can do in this one. Obviously, if he struggles, the Blue Jays bullpen has been very good this year, but the offense has been pretty bad. I know they've hit the ball slightly better here recently, but they are 29th in runs scored and 30th in on base percentage.
27:44So, not a great team at the plate. Look at the numbers for this one. The Yankees are - 155. The Blue Jays are plus 130. We have a total of eight in this game. The Yankees are 37 and 26 on the road. 37 24 and two to the under on the road. The Blue Jays are 28 and 32 at home.
27:583130 and two to the over at home. I'm not showing a lot of value on either side in this one, guys. I will lean a bit towards the Yankees, but being on the road here makes me very, very scared. This is basically going to be an exclusively stayaway spot for me. Next up, we got the Seattle Mariners heading to Houston to take on the Astros. Now, the Mariners, they are fresh off that crazy 1 to nothing win, so they'll take it. Uh, they're 57 and 65 on the year, though, five games back in the AL West.
28:23They'll start George Kirby in this game. He's 8 and N on the year, a 3.68 ERA. He threw five innings of one run ball against Tampa Bay. That was after throwing seven shutout innings against the Twins. So, he definitely comes into this game throwing the ball well. In terms of history this season against the Astros, he gave up five or seven hits over five innings, but only one run in Houston in a 3 to1 win back in early May. and had a decent start ready to pitch out a lot of trouble against them in the first month of the season as well. So that's some decent history.
28:49We'll see if that helps him out. We'll see if the bullpen can help him out when he eventually has to come out of the game. The Mariners have had a little bit of trouble with their bullpen recently. A 3.91 bullpen erra. Not in the elite category anymore. The offense has been just horrible down the stretch. They scored 1511 2 and zero over their last several games. They are the lowest scoring team in the majors. They're second to last in a bunch of major offensive categories as well. So, not a lot of good stuff to say about the Mariners at the plate. The Astros, on the other hand, just won two out of
29:18three against the San Francisco Giants. They are the top team in the AL West. They will start Peter Lambert in this game. Now, this 29-year-old righty is eight and six this year, a 3.09 RA. He's given up two earned runs exactly in each of his last four starts. Can he improve on that a little bit here against the Mariners? Doesn't feel necessarily impossible, but uh, you know, especially with the way they swung the bats. The last time he faced Seattle though was back in miday. uh seven innings, six hits, and three earned runs allowed. Uh the bullpen for the Astros is not great, but not nearly as bad right now as it
29:46was in the early portion of the season. A 3.90 bullpen RA is respectable. The offense though, I mean 216, 22 and three or 22 and six over their last few games is pretty bad. They are still 10th in run scored and seventh on in slugging percentage, but not crushing the ball at the moment. So look at the numbers for this game. The Mariners are plus 110.
30:05The Astros are -1 130. Total of eight in this game. Seattle is 24 and 36 on the road. 30 27 and three to the over on the road. Houston's 32 and 31 at home. 33 24 and two to the over at home. Bull team showing trends towards the over. Uh kind of a weird spot for that one. Not going to get involved in the total really. In terms of a side, I do like the Mariners a tiny tiny bit in this matchup, but historically I feel like the Astros just win this series all the time. So it's going to be generally a stayaway spot for me. Maybe a slight lean towards the
30:33Astros at minus 130, but really nothing is going to get me involved in this one. Next up, we got the Kansas City Royals heading to LA to take on the Angels. The Royals have been awful this year. 49 and 73 overall. They just got swept by the Dodgers. They'll start Seth Lugo in this game. He's five and seven on the season.
30:48A 4.41 erra. His last home on the mound was six innings, five hits, and three earned runs allowed against the Cubs. Uh struggled against the Rockies before that, but before that, had a good start against the Twins. Going on the road against the Angels shouldn't be that weird of an experience necessarily, but he hasn't faced them since back in the first month of the season where he got absolutely obliterated. but that didn't happen till late. A very weird situation there. Uh the Royals bullpen has been terrible this year. Like one of the worst couple bullpens in the major leagues. And the offense hasn't really been up to par either, scoring two,
31:16four, five, 2, 6, 4, and three over their last few games. They're 23rd in run scored, 22nd in on base percentage, and 22nd in slugging percentage. So, not a lot of good news for the Royals at the plate. They're taking on the Angels, who at 47 and 74 on the year are staring down the barrel of another pretty bad season. Uh they're currently up seven to nothing in the end of the eighth inning there against the Rangers. So that's going to make them have won three out of four in that series. So maybe playing spoiler feels good. They're going to start Grayson Rodriguez in this game.
31:42He's three and five this year, a 7.20 erra. He's fresh off four innings and three earned runs allowed against the Miami Marlins in a 12 to3 loss. And worth noting the Angels are 0 and5 in his last five starts, although I would say at least two of those not necessarily his fault. In terms of history this season against the Kansas City Royals, he does not have any. So, we'll see how this thing goes. The bullpen for the Angels is bad. Like bottom 10 bad easily. That's been the case with them all year long. And the offense is nothing special. I mean, hitting the ball well in their current
32:10game, sure, but over the course of the year, they are 25th in runs scored, 28th in sele. This is not an elite level offensive team. So, look at the numbers. The oddsmakers have it listed as a coin flip. Both teams are minus 110. We have a total of nine. The Royals are 20 and 43 on the road, 35, 27, and one to the under on the road. The Angels are 30 and 40 at home. 39 and 22 to the under at home with both teams showing trends towards the under and both teams suck in my opinion. I think under nine is not an unreasonable look just based on
32:37incompetence. If you're begging me for a side in this one, I will lean slightly towards the Royals with Lugo on the mound, but none of this is uh any way interesting to me enough to make any sort of investment. Rolling right along, we got the Texas Rangers heading to Sacramento to take on the Athletics. Now, the Rangers haven't exactly had the season of their dreams. There have been some positives and it can't feel all that bad to be only a game and a half back in the AL West. They are very likely to lose their current game though and in game one of this series they're
33:03going to start Kkumar Rocker who burned us the last time he was on the mound. He's 4 and9 on the year a 4.46 erra. He got shelled by Baltimore as the last time out. So certainly think this qualifies as something of a bounceback spot and he's taking on the Athletics but pitching in Sacramento can be a little bit tricky because that is not a very large ballpark out there. He did have two starts against Sacramento in the very first month of this year. And Kumar record looks pretty good out there. So maybe we can expect him to have a good bounce back in this one.
33:28We'll see. The Rangers bullpen has not been nearly as good this season as we're uh you know used to seeing, but it's I mean I don't know. It's honestly pretty bad. A 4.26 bullpen RA is not great. Offensively, this team has struggled recently scoring 022 and four over their last few. That is not great. Uh they are currently sitting at 24th in the majors run scored and 18th in slugging percentage. So not an elite level offense. They're taking on the Athletics who at 47 and 74 on the year have had a massive massive fall apart down the stretch. They will start Gage jump in this game. He's 5-7 on the year a 4.46
34:03RA. He did pretty good against Boston's last time out in a seven to3 win. He gave up only two runs over six innings and struck out 11. But before that struggled against Detroit, before that a great start against Boston. Before that struggled against Arizona. So, uh, you know, we'll see. We'll see what he can do here at home. Uh, maybe that maybe that's helpful. Probably not given this the dimensions of that ballpark. The bullpen for the Athletics has been atrocious. Literally the worst bullpen in the major leagues by a significant margin. The offense not nearly as good now as they were at the beginning of the
34:31year. They dealt with tons of injuries, some ineffective play, and losing some guys at the trade deadline, but mostly just injuries and not hitting the ball very well. So, we'll take a look at what they can do in this one. And unfortunately, we don't have a total posted yet, but it appears the Rangers going to be slight favorites. The Athletics are going to be slight underdogs. Uh the Rangers are 28 and 34 on the road. 31 26 and five to the over on the road. The Athletics are 26 and 35 at home. 348 and two to the over at home. I mean, we don't have a total
34:59posted yet. I think there's a very good chance we'll lean towards the over. In terms of aside, I'm going to take a small small flyer on the Athletics, but with how bad their bullpen is, maybe you got to take them in the first five to have any sort of chance. Rounding in the home stretch, we're linked the Milwaukee Brewers heading to LA to take on the Dodgers. The Dodgers have completely blown game one. They are now down five to four to the short-handed Brewers. So, another collapse there from that Dodgers bullpen. Uh the Brewers, they'll come into this game handing the ball to Robert Gasser. He's three and four on
35:26the year. A 4.57 RA. Didn't have a great time against the Twins his last time on the mound, but before that was throwing the ball well for three consecutive starts, albeit against some pretty weak competition. He faced the Dodgers back in late May and it did not go very well. So, not exactly a spot where I'm having tons of confidence here in Gasser. The Brewers bullpen, on the other hand, has been very good this year. That's been a nice little plus for them. A 3.52 bullpen erra is certainly very, very helpful. The offense hadn't looked great, but in game one of the series, they come storming back. They put up
35:53five runs and they have the bases loaded with two outs in the top of the ninth. So, we'll see if they can add on to that bit a little bit more. But, they are fifth in run scored, third and on base percentage and sixth in batting average. So, certainly a team with uh plenty of offensive skill. They're taking on the Dodgers who come into this game obviously. I mean 73 and 48 on the year probably good enough. Seems like they're going to be fine but not having the best time at their bullpen recently. Um they're going to start Yoshu Yamamoto in this game. This 27y old right is 11-7 on
36:21the year a 2.65 RA. He's fresh out five and two innings, three hits and no runs allowed. So some excellent excellent work out there in that one. In terms of history this season against the Brewers, I'm not sure if he's faced Milwaukee. Oh yeah, he did face Milwaukee back in late May. Seven innings, seven hits, but only one run allowed and a 5 to1 win. So, some excellent work from Yamoto in that one. Uh some decent work at times from the bullpen, though it's making me sick to my stomach right now. The offense, guys, I mean, not lighting the world on fire like you would expect. They've
36:49scored four, five, and six over their last few games. I mean, four runs through nine innings in their current game is not great either. So, we'll see if the Bats can awaken a little bit in this one. Uh the Brewers, they come into this game plus 150. The Dodgers are minus 180, a total of eight in this game. Milwaukee is 32 and 23 on the road. 29 24-2 to the under on the road.
37:07The Dodgers are 37 and 25 at home. 33 and 26 to the under at home. I mean, I'll take a look at the Brewers here. Plus 150 is crazy to me. I think they're right there on the same level. I know Gasser isn't necessarily as good of a starter as Yamamoto, but he's still pretty good and I think the Brewers are drawing live on this one. Last but not least, we're looking at the Colorado Rockies heading to San Francisco to take on the Giants. The Rockies are 3-2 over their last four three games. So very or two two and one. They won two out of
37:33their last three in their series in Arizona. They're going to hand the ball to Kyle Freeland. He has not had a great year. He's 3-10 overall, a 6.63 erra. I mean, it was really cool. He threw that complete game. After that, he struggled against the Cardinals. The bats did eventually bail him out, winning the game 8 to6. But yeah, that none of that was really Kyle Freeland's fault. The bullpen for the Rockies is atrocious.
37:53One of the worst bullpens in the major leagues. And it's not like the offense is uh good enough to carry this. You know, the offense has been much much much better this year than I expected. They're seventh in run scored and third in batting average. But right now, in their current iteration, I think they're going to have a pretty hard time. So, we'll see if they can do anything positive on the road against the Giants, who are 50 and 71 on the year. They have had a very rough time losing four out of their last five. They'll start Landon RP in this one. He's 7-1 on the season, a
38:184.22 RA. He's even up one, five, four, two, and zero earned runs over his last five stops. So, definitely not a terrible look. Although maybe clean it up there a little bit against the Padres's. The Giants, their uh bullpen, it's not great. Uh not as good as it was in the early going at least. A 4.32 bullpen erra. Not ideal. And the offense has had just a terrible, terrible season. They're all the way down to 29th on base percentage and 25th in runs scored. So yeah, not a lot to like about the Giants at the moment. Looking at the numbers, the Rockies are plus 105. The
38:48Giants are -25, a total of eight. Colorado is 30 and 29 on the road. 30 20 and 29 to the under on the road. The Giants, they're 22 and 40 at home. 29 26 and 40, the under at home. I might have said that wrong, guys. Colorado is 20 and 39 at home. But looking at the numbers, I mean, I'll lean slightly towards the Giants at plus money, but do not make me get involved here with the last game of the day.
